KML for Google Earth

Sam B
Dear all,

I am trying to convert a GPX file to display it in Google Earth (android version).
Unfortunately, trying the -i gpx -o kml options didn't help, and I tried several options related to KML without success.

Could someone help me having the right gpsbabel command to get a useable kml file ?

A sample is provided below.

Thank you very much in advance,

Sam

Re: KML for Google Earth

Sam B
Hi again,

Replying to my own thread, I finally found the answer :

The parameter -x transform, rte=trk was missing.

Also, a slightly wider line would help...

Regards,

Sam

Re: KML for Google Earth

The line width it can be controlled with the kml option line_width.  http://www.gpsbabel.org/htmldoc-1.5.1/fmt_kml.html

You man not be aware that google earth can read gpx files directly.  It will then use an embedded version of gpsbabel to convert them to kml.
